Hotel Reservations/Room Rates

The Spring Hill Suites by Marriott is holding a limited block of guestrooms for course attendees at the group rate of $179/per night for an Oceanfront Studio Suite (rate includes breakfast at the Hotel) and at the Government rate of $151/per night for an Oceanfront One Bedroom Suite (rate includes breakfast at the Hotel). Government ID is required in order to get a Government Rate. Hotel rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 13% plus $1.00 per night occupancy) in effect at the time of check in. Room reservations must be made by individuals and may call Sharon Oswald at 757.383.6065 directly. All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card or accompanied by a first night room deposit. In order to receive the group's special discounted rate, individuals are asked to mention "RIAC" when making their reservations.

Check-in/Check-Out Policy

Guest may check-in any time after 4:00 p.m. and must check-out no later than 11:00 a.m. The hotel cannot guarantee early arrival or late checkouts for groups.

Guestroom Cancellation Policy

The individual sleeping room cancellation or change policy requires 72 hours advance notification in order to avoid a cancellation fee of first nights room and tax.

Complimentary parking is available for both registered guests and attendees of this event. City Parking is also available across the street from the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott at a daily nominal fee.

The following discount schedule applies for course attendance by multiple persons from one corporate entity or institution when registering at the same time:

Training Schedule

Classes begin at 8:30AM, and conclude at 4:30PM. The schedule includes a continental breakfast starting at 8:00AM each day, morning and afternoon breaks with light refreshments, and a break for lunch (attendees are on their own for lunch).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before five (5) business days prior to the course are fully refundable. Cancellations received after five (5) business days prior to the course are not refundable and are subject to the entire registration fee, which can be applied towards a future offering of any RIAC "Open" training course. Substitute attendees can be made at any time by contacting the RIAC PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATIONS. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for the registration fee. The RIAC reserves the right to cancel training courses at any time up to two (2) weeks prior to the start date. In the event that the RIAC cancels, all registration fees will be refunded in full. The RIAC is not responsible for charges, other than registration fees paid, incurred by registrants from cancellation of any of the courses.
